This is an opportunity to join a fun, fast-paced industry marketing start-up, — diving right into the deep end. Our firm works with Fortune 1000 technology firms to help them drive revenue in federal, state and local government markets.

We are hiring for a springboard field marketing position, filled with incredible opportunities. From day one, you will be responsible for driving B2G field marketing initiatives and tactics for one of our major clients. In this role, you will be embedded into their office, working directly with our client and their channel partners, to develop and grow customer demand for one of their new products in the state and local government high tech marketplace.

Please note: this is a 20 hour per week, 1099 contract position with a term of at least 9 months. There are no benefits. However there may be an opportunity to extend from 20hpw to 40hpw. There is also a potential opportunity (we make no guarantee) of being hired FT by our Client, or by us.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create, develop, execute and effectively manage a variety of marketing, lead and demand generation programs that support Client sales and marketing objectives.
  • Measure and report performance against established metrics.
  • Serve as the field marketing point-of-contact on for various products and initiatives.
  • As needed, engage channel partners in co-branded marketing activities and explore opportunities to market with, and through, them to the ultimate end user.
  • Develop understanding of Client product lines and general value propositions.
  • Collect and analyze data on preferences, needs, buying habits and contract vehicles within target customers, identify potential factors affecting purchasing patterns.
  • Support sales force on field enablement initiatives.
  • Deliver sales accepted leads of high quality and as measured by the CRM system.
  • Forecast, analyze and report on lead flow and program ROI to optimize revenue.
  • Present marketing plans and updates to Client sales and marketing leaders.
  • Manage pre/post logistics and audience generation for field marketing activities.
  • Manage budget for field marketing activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, copy, and projects as needed.
  • Distribute, communicate and enforce company branding and marketing guidelines.
  • Support all Client initiatives, be proactive, give actionable feedback, share best practices.
  • Consistently deliver above-average marketing performance to meet Client’s needs.

Qualifications:

  • Either a Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 3 years professional marketing experience. OR 5 years professional marketing or communications experience.
  • Strong capacity to execute efficiently with attention to logistical details.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to build cross-functional relationships
  • Able to meet strict deadlines and standards of quality under pressure.
  • Agile in prioritizing and effectively organizing multiple projects in a fluctuating workload.
  • Accurate, detailed, thorough, and can present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to establish relationships, work cooperatively, and assist others as needed.
  • Solid analytical skills, and strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to quickly learn new concepts and processes.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior Public Sector (Government, Healthcare, Education) industry experience is desirable.
